I've not read a Lonelt Planet guide before and so far im very impressed. I'm not a young adventure hiking type anymore but this book on South America is really comprehensive, I've been there before so some of the book I'm familiar with. Currently on South America trip, purchased this book for useful tips. It is not that thorough. Visited north-Argentina Jujuy province, the book doesn’t talk about Salinas Grandes, El Hornocal (14 colored mountains) etc..Can’t rely on this book solely for thorough information.
